Roman Nemish, President and Co-Founder of TEKTELIC, has 15 years of experience developing wireless Base Station and Radio solutions at Nortel where he acted as a Senior Architect. In this role Roman was responsible for product architecture, system design, new product introduction, product launch, cost reduction and life cycle management of individual products and complete portfolios. During this time, Roman worked with numerous OEMs, vendors and North American and international customers; directly contributed to closing business deals, and supported outsourcing activities. At TEKTELIC Roman manages business activities, customer relationships and new business opportunities. Roman holds a B.Sc. from the University of Saskatchewan and an MBA from Queen’s University.
Chief Technical Officer and Co-Founder of TEKTELIC
David Tholl, Chief Technical Officer and Co-Founder of TEKTELIC, has 20 years of experience developing wireless Base Stations and Radio solutions for TDMA, CDMA, UMTS, WiMax, and LTE applications. David has extensive experience in digital signal processing, communication theory, system design, and hardware development. During his tenure with Nortel, David researched, de-risked, and developed numerous new technologies and supported technology introduction to volume production. At TEKTELIC David defines the direction of research and development, product roadmaps, and provides guidance to the product development team. David holds a M.Sc. from the University of Calgary and is a Professional Engineer with APEGGA.
Director of Operations
As Director of Operations, Trevor facilitates the development of products by providing support services and tools to the engineering teams at TEKTELIC. He also oversees project resources allocation, key project milestone delivery and new product introduction by working closely with project managers, suppliers, customers and contract manufactures. Trevor led many successful physical packaging development teams over a 15 year career at Nortel, delivering a wide range of wireless products. He is expert in the conceptual and detailed design of outdoor electronics packaging with over 18 years experience and 5 patents in the field. Trevor holds a B.Sc. in mechanical engineering from the University of Alberta and an M.A.Sc in computational fluid dynamics and heat transfer from the University of Victoria.
Director, Business Development
Barney began his career with Nortel Networks, implementing and engineering high speed data networks. Before moving to Nortel’s wireless team he was the lead product manager for MPLS-based products and the associated MPLS-based L2/L3 VPN solutions. In wireless, Barney led the transformation of Nortel’s legacy CDMA backhaul network to an IP based infrastructure. His work on the evolution of the CDMA radio access network led to in-depth industry engagements on 4G wireless evolution. Before joining TEKTELIC Barney supported the Calgary based TELUS Enterprise Sales team by providing subject matter expertise in HSPA/HSPA+ and CDMA networks. He holds a B.Sc. and an MBA from the University of Calgary.
